The HealthCareMBA@Simmons curriculum is designed to prepare professionals working in provider, payer, or government roles to face the unique challenges of the health care industry and advance to leadership positions. Blending the business skills of a traditional MBA program with the extensive health care knowledge of an advanced health care degree, the curriculum builds on students’ work experience and emphasizes three tenets:

  • Evidence-based strategies for decision-making
  • Communication across health care sectors
  • The acquisition of technical skills through practical application

Curriculum Breakdown

The MBA in Health Care program begins with Foundations of Business, a non-credit course that introduces students to business fundamentals as well as the curriculum structure and concepts. Following this, students complete 50 credit hours of coursework:
