Live Online Classes
Students participate in real time in online classes with Simmons' expert faculty — who have valuable health industry experience — and their classmates across the country. The interactive classroom allows students to delve into complex health administration topics such as health finance, health law, and negotiations. Each class has approximately 15 students, which allows students to break into discussion groups, ask questions, and discuss hot topics within the online platform.
Outside of scheduled class sessions, students can watch recordings of their classes at any time.
Interactive Self-Paced Coursework
HealthCareMBA@Simmons students will work on interactive assignments weekly that inform their next live class discussion. They can complete the coursework on their own time throughout the week. Course content can be accessed at any time from most internet-enabled devices and may include viewing lectures or interviews and responding to discussion questions through writing or video.
HealthCareMBA@Simmons students will participate in two in-person immersion courses in major business cities around the country, where they will explore topics that are relevant to business and health care administration, such as financial management. During these multiday events, students will:
Build relationships with faculty and classmates in real-world business environments.
Apply the analytical and managerial skills being developed in class to practical scenarios.
Learn from prominent, experienced business leaders during workshops and panels.
