Mike Farabaugh is a public health consultant who collaborates with both domestic and international organizations on new business development, trainings, market intelligence gathering, and other scopes of work. Previously, Farabaugh was the director of quality improvement at AIDS Action Committee, a Boston-based HIV AIDS service organization. He also worked as a senior advisor at John Snow, Inc. for 12 years, concentrating primarily on three projects with an HIV focus: the STAR-EC Project located in Jinja, Uganda; the SASA Project located in New Delhi, India; and the CHSS Program based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. In his role as senior advisor, he provided strategic and operational oversight, project management, and technical direction to the projects. Farabaugh did HIV prevention work with at-risk youth in Tanzania; worked in refugee resettlement domestically; helped to start a charter school in Houston, Texas; and was a Teach For America corps member, teaching fourth grade on the Mexican border. He has a BA in Anthropology from James Madison University and an MPH from Boston University School of Public Health.
