Simmons offers two online Family Nurse Practitioner programs that prepare nurses to advance to FNP roles: the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and the post-graduate certificate (PGC). 

After graduating from Simmons University with your MSN or PGC, you’ll be ready to pursue board certification as an FNP, provide holistic care to patients across the life span, and work in diverse clinical environments.

Online MSN for RNs with a Bachelor’s Degree

Our online MSN-FNP program is designed for licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) who have already earned a BSN or a bachelor’s with a major in Nursing. Earn your degree in as few as 24 months (full time) or 28 months (part time).

Online PGC for APRNs with a Graduate Degree

Our online FNP post-graduate certificate program is designed for licensed, certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) with a graduate degree in nursing (MSN or DNP). Earn your certificate in as few as 12 months (full time) or 20 months (part time).
