The online Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program extends Simmons’ mission to prepare nurse leaders across the country. RNs who have earned their MSN can enter the program and gain the clinical, research, and leadership skills to improve healthcare delivery within organizations and healthcare systems.

Impact Healthcare Systems
As a student, you will gain the skills to improve healthcare outcomes for patients and communities. The program curriculum focuses on development of Professional Practice Leadership by covering the following topics:

- Biophysical and psychosocial sciences
- Data analytics and health informatics
- Organizational management
Immersive Clinical Practice
Clinical practice is the cornerstone of the Simmons School of Nursing curricula, and this remains true in our online Nursing@Simmons programs. As a student, you will conduct a DNP project in which you will complete at least 1,000 hours of practice-based research at a site in your community or at your current workplace. Through this clinical experience, you will be able to apply your coursework and research to real-world healthcare settings.
