Advance as a Nurse Leader

Simmons’ Online MSN – FNP Program

Our immersive online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program provides innovative, socially responsive nursing education to Registered Nurses (RNs) across the country.

Designed for RNs with a bachelor’s in nursing or BSN, the online program provides the knowledge and skills nurses need to deliver advanced care and drive meaningful change in health care as FNPs.

Simmons’ online MSN – FNP program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).1

Flexibility You Need

Our course delivery accommodates nurses’ busy lives while prioritizing learning outcomes — we offer the flexibility nurses need to earn an MSN while continuing to provide lifesaving care for their patients.

  • Predictable, Standardized Course Schedules — We offer same-day-of-week course schedules, allowing nurses to plan ahead and balance their work, study, and personal commitments.
  • Flex Scheduling for Lectures —Many courses offer “flex scheduling,” with lectures hosted multiple times per week so students can choose the lecture session that fits their schedule.
  • Session Recordings — After attending live-sessions, students have an added benefit of accessing recordings to review content anywhere, anytime.

Unwavering Support

The Simmons community is here to help students grow as visionary and inclusive health care leaders.

  • Mentorship and Coaching — In addition to their faculty, students have an academic advisor and student success specialist to guide their journey. Many courses also include an academic coach — an experienced APRN and educator who can answer questions and provide judgement-free advice outside of live class sessions.
  • Clinical Placement Team — Our live courses are complemented by immersive clinical practice. Students partner with a placement specialist to find a clinical site in or near their community. As of July 2020, our placement team has helped secure more than 6,800 clinical placements across more than 14,000 clinical networks.
