Annual demand for individuals holding BCBA®/BCBA-D® certification has increased each year since 2010, with an 14% increase from 2022 to 2023.1 As a BehaviorAnalysis@Simmons student, you will have access to a wealth of career support resources and services designed to help you create, identify, and access career advancement opportunities in this growing field.  

We encourage you to take advantage of these valuable tools as you consider, define, and refine your career goals:

Virtual Career Center

The Virtual Career Center offers professional development best practices and allows you to access them anywhere on your own time. These tips and resources are delivered through a combination of asynchronous, self-paced content and live, 1:1 sessions, which build on career development concepts.

Individual Appointments

As a student, you may schedule one-­on-­one advising appointments with our career services staff at any time. During these appointments, our staff can help with résumé reviews, mock interviews, career goal definition, and more.

Networking Guidance

You will be able to work with our career services team to help create a networking strategy to engage with alumni and employers alike. The team will help you find job opportunities through Simmons’ exclusive job posting tools, and determine key industry-specific tips and tricks for getting hired.

Career Resources

The career services team offers a library of career resources to assist you with application materials, your professional brand, and more. Resources include guides for interviews, tips for writing résumés and cover letters, templates, and live and recorded webinars.

Alumni Community Connections

As a student in the BehaviorAnalysis@Simmons program, you’ll have access to our worldwide network of alumni who actively support students as they pursue career opportunities. Simmons network of alumni are leading practitioners and researchers in the field. Our graduates have gone on to work in diverse roles including behavioral medicine, organizational behavior management, instructional design, and animal training.

Faculty Connections

BehaviorAnalysis@Simmons faculty are dedicated to helping you explore the field of applied behavior analysis, assess your strengths, and define your path as a practitioner. Faculty are available during one-on-one office hours and actively seek to develop personal connections with each student.
