Earn a Clinically Focused MSW Online

SocialWork@Simmons, the online MSW program from Simmons University, prepares caring professionals to serve diverse populations in a range of social work settings. The program is designed to meet students where they are, providing several tracks for those with varying schedules and commitments. Program track options include:
- Accelerated program: Complete in as few as 16 months.
- Standard full-time program: Complete in as few as 23 months.
- Extended part-time program: Complete in as few as 32 months.
Advanced Standing
An advanced standing program is also available for applicants who have earned their Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and meet certain academic requirements. The advanced standing track allows students to complete the program in as few as 16 months and requires fewer credits than the other program tracks.
Admission
SocialWork@Simmons offers cohort starts throughout the year in January, March, May, September, and November. To be considered for the program, applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with at least a 3.0 GPA. Relevant work or volunteer experience is also required to apply.
Throughout the application process, you will have a dedicated admission counselor who can answer your questions about the program and help you submit your strongest application possible.
The final deadline for the May 2025 cohort is March 25, 2025.
