SWO-710 Complex Learning Environments
3 credits
This course students will be engaged in developing culturally responsive approaches to navigating classroom dynamics. They will also learn to implement learning strategies for developing classrooms grounded in cultural humility, as well as to create space for debate in classrooms. Additionally, students will learn to apply strategies for the building of anti-racist (using DEIPAR principles) and inclusive classrooms in the complex learning environment. This will be done by way of synthesizing the knowledge gained through self-reflection, and analysis and evaluation of scholarly pedagogical literature.
