Our Response

During these unsettling times, Simmons remains dedicated to supporting student success. In line with our historic commitment to progress and educational access, we believe that knowledge drives the innovations of tomorrow. Our online programs remain open to continue to prepare future leaders who will make a difference in their fields and communities.

We are working closely with our technology partner to ensure our online programs continue operating effectively during this time. Here are some of the ways we are responding to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Online Programs: Our online programs are positioned to support students’ learning wherever they are. These programs remain open, with weekly live classes held in Zoom classrooms. Students are able to meet with one another and professors online at any time, and our faculty in these programs are trained to teach effectively in this online environment.

Digital Campus: The digital campus for our online programs is designed to support meaningful connections and collaboration between students everywhere. The online platform enables discussion through live chats and video conferencing, and our online students remain active in their coursework.

Innovation and Advancement: We are always evaluating our online curricula and technology to ensure the most rigorous and engaging experience for students. Our technology partner continues to diligently assess this experience.

Ongoing Support Services: At this time, our admission and student support teams remain active and available. You can reach out at any time to speak with a counselor on either of these teams to ask any questions you have.

In-Person Experiences: Hands-on, in-person learning is a cornerstone of our online programs. We are monitoring the situation and evaluating in-person experiences on a program-by-program basis.  The safety of our students and faculty is of utmost importance. We remain committed to ensuring students receive the training they need to be successful in their chosen field.
