Through a blend of live online classes, multimedia content, and in-person immersive experiences, the MBA@Simmons online program is designed to facilitate real-world connections among classmates and faculty with diverse business backgrounds. We deliver our rigorous graduate education in an innovative online format, enabling students to gain leadership skills while managing personal and professional commitments.
Live Online Classes
Our live online classroom puts students face-to-face with Simmons' expert faculty and classmates living and working around the country. Through the online platform, students can discuss and debate issues impacting global businesses today as well as gender-based obstacles faced by women leaders. Classes meet weekly and are made up of approximately 15 students. The small class size offers students the opportunity to fully engage with one another and their faculty, as well as break out into small discussion groups that facilitate collaboration.
Outside of scheduled class sessions, students can watch recordings of previous classes at any time.
Interactive Self-Paced Coursework
Each week, MBA@Simmons students are assigned interactive coursework that prepares them for the next live class discussion. Students can complete these assignments — which may include viewing recorded lectures, answering discussion questions, or uploading video responses — at their own pace each week as their schedule allows. Course content can be accessed at any time from most internet-enabled devices.
MBA@Simmons students will attend two in-person immersion experiences, held in Boston and other major business cities around the country, where they will delve into topics such as socially responsible investing, leadership and communication strategies, and strategic career management. During these multiday events, students will:
Network and collaborate with faculty and classmates in real-world business settings.
Build on classroom knowledge and apply their analytical and managerial skills.
Attend workshops and talks with prominent, experienced business leaders.
WeWork is a coworking community that offers its members inspiring work environments around the world. MBA@Simmons students will be able to use WeWork locations as additional study spaces through a Global Access membership. Students who live or travel near a WeWork can conveniently reserve workstations, collaborate with classmates, and network with other professionals at WeWork events.
Student Support Services
We focus on students as individuals, investing in their success and supporting them as they launch, advance, and change their careers. Simmons faculty members take pride in mentoring and guiding students individually, and advisors support students and provide guidance throughout the program and beyond.
Prospective students work one-on-one with a dedicated admissions counselor who guides them throughout the application process and answers any questions about the program.
Once admitted into MBA@Simmons, students work directly with our student support team, who helps them acclimate to the virtual campus, provides technical support, and assists with registration each term.
Once enrolled, students are assigned an academic advisor who helps ensure they meet their academic goals. Students also receive access to resources such as the digital library and career services.
Graduation and beyond
Upon graduation, students are invited to join their classmates in Boston for Simmons’ commencement ceremony. They will then enjoy lifelong connections to our worldwide alumni network.
