Accreditation

Simmons University is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). 

Nursing Accreditation

The baccalaureate, master’s and DNP programs at Simmons are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) is a national accrediting agency that ensures the quality of nursing programs.

The FNP, RN to MSN, and DNP programs are accredited through 2029 by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), a national accrediting agency that ensures the quality of nursing programs.

As per the CCNE guidance, Simmons plans to submit a substantive change report for the online modality of the RN to BSN and the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) programs within the prescribed window of no more than 90 days before and no later than 90 days after the start of classes.

Social Work Accreditation 

The Simmons University School of Social Work’s Master of Social Work, & Baccalaureate of Social Work programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)  and The New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE).
